SDI Logistics & Supply Chain Forum |
APRIL 13 - 15, 2011 Las Vegas, Nevada |
Upcoming Events |
Our Logistics Forum has become renowned as a place to hear from Supply Chain Leaders
who represent a diverse cross section of leading companies. The networking
opportunities are unrivaled; I know that many of our attendees choose this event
over all others in the Logistic & Supply Chain calendar. This event will surpass
all other years with many attendees already registered. Don’t miss this opportunity! Regards, Krish Nathan President, SDI Industries "This is a unique networking event that touched all issues having to deal with material handling." Brian Wehner Senior Director, Logistics & Distribution // Levi Strauss & Co. "I attend only a few conferences each year based on the lack of value and content that you leave with. The SDI Forum is one I always attend because it is peer driven and provides detailed insight into what is really happening with the "Supply Chain" world as well is the connection made with peers facing and solving similar issues within their companies." Bill Bellerose VP Logistics // Hot Topic Inc. "The number of Material Handling and Supply Chain conferences offered exceed what anyone could possibly attend. The SDI Forum is unique in that it is small enough to spend quality time networking with people who share your same challenges; but large enough to offer an array of useable take-away information, ranging from people management to innovations in equipment and processes." Gough Grubbs SVP Distribution/Logistics // Stage Stores |
The 6th Annual SDI Logistics Forum was a huge success! This two day seminar was held at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas. Many important topics were discussed by top professionals in the industry. Marshal Cohen, Chief Industry Analyst for The NPD Group, challenged conventional thinking and discussed Consumerology and the new retail rules. Juan Pablo Berrios, of Concha y Toro, spoke of "Strategic Logistics" and the supply chain field. Another keynote speaker, Brian Jackson, Business and Systems Integrations Manager at Nordstrom, discussed Business integration of major projects. Bob Silverman, VP IT Business Systems at Tommy Hilfiger USA and past board chair of CSCMP, provided his perspective on upcoming supply chain challenges and opportunities, including energy costs/availability, sustainability, network remodeling, logistics constraints, and contingency planning. Dave Ciesco, Vice President of Levi Strauss America’s Distribution Finance, Planning and Procurement spoke of aligning stakeholder interests and gave great advice for successful capital project approvals. Mark Burstein, President of sales, marketing and R&D for NGC, spoke on the topic of saving time and money throughout the supply chain. The SDI Forum ended with an inspirational speech and motivational presentation by longtime collegiate and NBA basketball coach Lon Kruger who begins his seventh season with the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. The SDI Forum is a unique opportunity for industry leaders to network with peers and exchange new ideas and solutions. Previous attendees have found that their companies were able to leave with ideas to better utilize technology and improve the overall performance of their operations. Speakers have included logistics leaders from Nike Inc., Loehmann's, Nordstrom's, NYK Logistics Inc., RedBox, BCBG, Ripley, Stage Stores, Levi Strauss and others, who openly share their logistics experience. Topics include globalization, cost savings, internet fulfillment and operational improvements. The dinner is great with many wonderful dishes and luscious desserts. |
