The client has a high demand for Value Added Services on the apparel that they supply
to all major retail companies.
Working with the client through
a series of work shops and group user sessions SDI developed a custom Value Added
Work Station ( VAS Station ) that is ergonomically designed to ensure maximum
comfort and efficienct=y during the Value added services activity. The work stations
are required for Wholesale packing, Retail Packing and Direct to Consumer
packing.
Considerations included :
--Automatic delivery of
inbound
tote
--Working height for In bound tote to allow easy access to product contained
within the tote
--Table Packing height adjustable by operator to
suit height of operator
--Easy Access to all supplies including automatic
hanger application and labeling
--Automatic removal of both empty tote
and full carton for delivery back to conveying system and appropriate area within
the Distribution Center
