Hanging Garment Sorter

  SDI's hangsorter system is the standard in high-speed unit distribution of hanging garments.
  Its design can be configured for installation in either multi-level or single-level operations with
  equal effectiveness.

  Induction to the sorter is achieved either manually or automatically by adding a 
  mechanical device which synchronizes a screw conveyor or quick picker with the hooks and
  automatically delivers the hangers to the hooks as they pass through the induction area.  The
  induction process can also be integrated with an automatic trolley-stripper.

  The hang sorter has a variable speed controller, allowing the operators to optimize the travel 
  speed of the garments as well as the induction rate.  Induction rates are determined by two
  factors: rope speed and center distance.  SDI's Standard Speed Hangsorter, running at
  maximum speed with hooks at 324mm centers has an induction rate of 6000 hooks per hour
  with either manual or automatic induction.  The High Speed Hangsorter has hooks on 250mm
  centers and is capable of induction rates of 10,000 hooks per hour but for this speed requires
  an automatic induction device.
